Radon testing is performed by leaving 2 charcoal canisters from RTCA (Radon Testing Corporation of America) in the lowest livable area of a home for a minimum of 48 hours. We like to set these up at least 2 days prior to the inspection so that we can pick them up and then send them out while we're there for the inspection.

Water quality testing is performed by taking samples of water with water testing kits provided by and tested by a NYS qualified lab. Results for the samples are then sent out 3-7 business days later (depending on availability).

Well Flow tests are performed by running the well water for 1 to 2 hours (depending on what the bank calls for). During this process the inspector records the wells Gallon Per Minute value before and after the test to see if there is a consistent rate of flow or not.

Throughout our assessment we will be looking for signs of mold. If the mold    appears to be over 10 squared feet in size, New York Inspection Professionals will move forward with an assessment.

The assessment will outline:

  • Affected Materials

  • Materials to be Removed

  • Materials to be treated

  • Recommendations

  • Forms of Ventilation Present

  • Estimated Squared Feet of Affected Meterial

  • Estimate of cost of remediation

  • Estimated Time Frame For Completion

  • Level of Containment & PPE
